Job Summary
Provide companionship by engaging residents in conversation, watching movies, playing games, and conducting light activities. Observe residents to ensure comfort and report any changes in behavior or physical/mental condition. Conduct basic safety rounds to identify and report hazardous conditions or equipment to immediate supervisors. Successfully complete resident safety training covering environmental safety, infection control, and basic CPR. Report all accidents or incidents within 24 hours. Wear protective clothing and equipment when handling infectious waste, blood, body fluids, or performing hazardous work. Recognize and support Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts by attending trainings, carrying out assigned roles, and sharing ideas for organizational improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Must have compassion and caring interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- some experience in working with Elderly
- fluent Tohono O'dham speaking
