O&M Technician I - Water Treatment Plant

Perform customer service duties including turn-ons, shut-offs, leak checks, and water sample collection. Locate, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair meters, valves, pipes, and related infrastructure while flushing distribution systems and exercising valves. Assist in repairing water mains and wastewater collection systems, responding to emergency calls to investigate causes and mitigate spills or damage. Operate specialized vehicles, light to heavy equipment, and hand/power tools using safe work methods. Initially work under close supervision to learn system infrastructure and tools, with assignments becoming more varied and independent as experience is gained.
