Job Summary
Maintain commercial cooling systems on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), focusing on installations including pipefitting of entire systems and diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components. Perform fire alarm testing, conduct performance checks, and execute regular maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season equipment. Respond to service calls and emergency call-outs in a timely manner, ensuring accurate completion of daily work reports. Be available for after-hours and weekend shifts, with occasional travel outside New England up to 100% during busy summer months. Drive to remote work sites and perform all duties as assigned while complying with OSHA, EPA, and FCC regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with HVAC maintenance in a commercial setting
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems
- Level 2 or Universal EPA Certificate
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email
- Must be willing and able to comply with OSHA Standards
- Available to travel up to 100%
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing issued by state of residence
- Physically able to lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds)
- Able to comply with FCC/EPA/OSHA Regulations
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and ambient temperatures
