Job Summary
Troubleshoot daily project system issues and execute correction plans to meet hourly production output targets. Perform routine maintenance, start-up tests, and commissioning on solar farm equipment including inverters, switchgear, and trackers while ensuring CMMS work orders are complete. Develop standard operating documents, train operators, and coordinate with sub-contractors to improve system performance and maintenance costs. Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures, audit warranty claims, and adhere to safety protocols including Lockout Tag Out. Work outside normal daytime hours and travel to sites in Sicily, Italy.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years minimum of hands-on experience in the renewable energy (solar, wind or similar)
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing various types of electrical machinery and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis
- Must be willing to work outside normal daytime hours of 8am to 5:00pm (plus nights and weekends) responding to emergency service or project equipment issues
- Must be willing to travel; currently all project locations are within Sicily (Italy)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Deep knowledge on local regulations applicable to the PV Sites under operation
Desired Qualifications

- Strong work ethic, positive team attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment
