Job Summary
O&M Crewmember T-AGOS SURTASS-E Specialist sought to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SURTASS mission equipment aboard SURTASS vessels, support six months on / six months off rotating missions, in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities include standing watch in the SURTASS Operations Center, maintaining logs and records, using trouble ticket systems, managing logistics inventory, operating shipboard test equipment, and maintaining the technical library. Requires DoD personnel security clearance, Associate degree or Navy electronics training, DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 12 months, U.S. passport eligibility, and ability to pass a Mariner's Physical.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years experience hands-on operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SURTASS mission systems or related computer/electronics systems
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or Navy electronics school or equivalent
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 12 months of start date
- Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport
- Must pass Mariner's Physical per COMSCINST 6001.c and maintain medical fitness
