Job Summary
Conduct obstetric and gynaecology services for a catchment of 120,000 people, managing varied clinical complexity within a five-storey Inpatient Unit and expanded theatre capacity. Lead as a key consultant with mentorship responsibilities for junior staff, supported by fortnightly education meetings and access to public fertility training. Manage an attractive on-call roster with retainer and paid callbacks while pursuing special areas of interest and attending external conferences. Maintain a compassionate, team-oriented approach to women's healthcare within a multicultural environment, adhering to GV Health values of compassion, respect, and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant specialist qualification such as Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent
- Specialist medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Eligibility for registration for Medicare provider number
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to women's healthcare
- Positive and team orientated work ethic
- Exceptional communication skills
- Commitment to the GV Health Values of Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork and Ethical Behaviour and ability to exhibit behaviour which reflects our values
- Evidence of being a medical expert, including past experience in a range of areas in General Medicine and Advanced certificates or similar recognised experience in a subspecialty field
- Knowledge of General Medicine to the level of a RACP fellow
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
- Being in good standing with all Regulatory Authorities
- Full immunisation against COVID19 and Influenza
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check
- Victorian 'Employee' Working with Children Check
- Completion of a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration
