O'Brien Construction - Director of Training and Development

Director of Training & Development leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s workforce development and training initiatives across field and operational teams. This individual builds scalable training infrastructure that supports operational consistency, employee development, leadership growth, safety, quality, and long-term workforce retention. Partners with leadership, operations leaders, field personnel, and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps, standardize best practices, and develop structured learning programs that strengthen both technical and leadership capabilities. Ideal candidate understands how to translate operational realities into practical, measurable training systems that improve performance in the field and support growth. Requires 7+ years of experience; construction or skilled trades experience strongly preferred; experience with scalable training programs, leadership development, LMS platforms, and safety/quality/compliance-driven training.
