Job Summary
Nyx Test Bench Engineer responsible for designing, assembling, and operating a propulsion test facility for legacy propellants, translating test needs into facility and ground support requirements, and overseeing commissioning, testing, and maintenance. Responsibilities include developing instrumentation and data acquisition for safe hot-fire testing, managing suppliers and integration activities, supporting hazard analyses and risk mitigation, and performing maintenance and operation tasks. Ideal candidates will have a degree in aerospace/propulsion/mechanical/chemical engineering, 2+ years of hands-on propulsion test bench experience, strong knowledge of fluid and pressurized systems, safety-critical systems, and industrial automation, plus excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relocation exists with visa sponsorship where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in aerospace, propulsion system, mechanical, chemical engineering, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with propulsion test benches, preferably with storable/legacy propellants
- Strong background in fluid systems, pressurized systems, and ground support equipment
- Knowledge of safety-critical systems, industrial automation, and test operations
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
