Job Summary
NYC MSP Mid-Level Field Technician (Windows) provides remote and on-site technical support in the New York metropolitan area, with a mix of remote and in-person duties including one client site daily for four hours. The role requires strong Windows and Apple environment experience, customer-facing service, documentation in ConnectWise, KBAs adherence, collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, after-hours on-call rotation, and proficiency with M365/Google Admin Console, SharePoint, email migrations, enterprise networking equipment, VPNs, backups, and various admin tooling. Proficiency across Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android; knowledge of DNS, Active Directory/Azure, VMware/Hyper-V, Meraki/SonicWall/Unifi, and MDM tools (JAMF, Mosyle, Intune, Meraki) is preferred; certifications such as CCNP/CCDA/VCP/Citrix are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users with approachability and empathy
- Prioritization of a queue of dispatched service desk tickets
- Maintenance of professionalism and aptitude for handling technical issues promptly
- Proficiency in escalating issues concerning triage requirements
- Proven track record of at least 3 years of experience supporting Windows and Apple environments
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customers and multiple issues
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using a ticketing system/RMM tool and PSA software
