Job Summary
NYC MSP Mid-Level Field Technician (Mac) provides remote and onsite support for Mac and Apple environments, including MacOS, iOS, Windows, and Office365. Responsibilities include escalating Level 1 issues, coordinating remote and onsite fixes for desktops and servers, and performing OS, application, and hardware configurations. Requires strong written/verbal communication, ability to multitask in a fast-paced Service Desk, and 3+ years of experience supporting Windows and Apple environments. Technical skills include MacOS, iOS, Android, email security, DNS, VPN, network hardware, backup solutions (Acronis), and familiarity with MDM products (JAMF, Mosyle, Intune, Meraki). Preferred skills include additional MDM familiarity, FileMaker Server/Pro, DNS expertise, PowerShell/Terminal, Hyper-V/VMware, and Parallels handling. Certifications such as Apple certification are preferred but not mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users with approachability and empathy
- 3+ years of experience supporting Windows and Apple environments
- Experience using a ticketing system/RMM tool and PSA software
- Experience with remote and onsite support
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented work style
- Proficiency in troubleshooting MacOS, iOS, Android environments
- Familiarity with Apple, Mac OS, Mac OS X Server, Windows OS, and Office365
