Job Summary
Create a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment that excites students to reach ambitious goals while utilizing interim assessment data to drive instruction and intervention. Build classroom community by partnering with families to facilitate academic success and implement unit plans with the grade or subject team. Collaborate with coaches and school leaders to improve instructional skills and attend all professional development and data analysis meetings. This role supports scholars in discovering their potential and becoming agents of change within a vibrant, supportive community focused on equity and personal development.
Required Qualifications
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Embraces feedback as an opportunity for growth, openly listening and reflecting on input from others
- Experience working with K-12 students
- New York certified or in the process of obtaining a certification
- Bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- two years of teaching experience preferred
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus
