Job Summary
NX1980 CAD Designer on-site in Batavia, IL will prepare mechanical designs and drawings using NX1980 and Teamcenter, applying ASME Y14.5-M-1994 GD&T. Responsibilities include creating 3D models, 2D drawings, tolerances, stack-ups, and coordinating with engineering staff to research design solutions, meet project schedules, and specify components/materials for projects within APS-TD (PIP-II, LCLS-II, LCLS-II HE, SRF, magnets). Deliverables are generated in NX1980 and managed in Teamcenter, with QA performed per Fermilab QAM and APS-TD procedures. Must demonstrate proficiency via Zoom interview and have at least five years of design experience; work location is on-site in Batavia, IL, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–4:30 pm CT.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as Designer
- Proficiency in NX1980 CAD
- Experience delivering 3D models and 2D drawings
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Work onsite in Batavia, IL
