Job Summary
Coordinate and manage daily crisis intervention, milieu relationships, and building operations for a 70-unit 24/7 supportive housing facility. Interact professionally with residents in common areas, facilitate outside service appointments, and provide outreach to service-resistant individuals. Monitor security systems, enforce building rules, and act as first responder for emergencies and community concerns. Ensure accurate logging of significant events, pass shift information during overlaps, and respond to resident complaints or maintenance requests. Provide transportation to residents as needed and participate in weekly staff meetings. Read daily logs upon shift entry and pass on necessary information during shift overlap for seamless coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals displaying a wide range of unpleasant and/or challenging behaviors
- Must be available to work some evening and weekend shifts
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds
- Able to communicate effectively in with staff, residents, and community partners
- Ability to learn crisis intervention skills and behavior management
- Reliable transportation
- WA State Driver's License
- WA State I.D.
- Active or ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit
- Active or ability to obtain CPR/First Aid training
- Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services
- Support and contribute to a creative, collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork
- Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations
