Job Summary
Manage daily crisis management, milieu relationships, and building operations at Martha's Place, a 70-unit 24/7 supportive housing facility for chronically homeless adults. Interact professionally with residents in common areas, coordinate outside service appointments, and initiate on-site recreational activities. Act as first responder to community concerns and emergencies, including welfare checks, while monitoring access areas and enforcing building rules. Ensure lobby office functions run efficiently by managing visitors, answering phones, and monitoring security systems. Record significant events in daily logs, pass shift information during overlaps, and respond to resident complaints or maintenance requests. Provide transportation to residents as needed and participate in weekly staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals displaying a wide range of unpleasant and/or challenging behaviors
- Must be available to work some evening and weekend shifts
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds
- Able to communicate effectively in with staff, residents, and community partners
- Ability to learn crisis intervention skills and behavior management
- Reliable transportation and WA State Driver's License/ WA State I.D.
- Active or ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit
- Active or ability to obtain CPR/First Aid training
- Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services
- Support and contribute to a creative, collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork
- Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations
- Criminal History Background Checks are required prior to employment
