Job Summary
Develop NVH CAE models at full vehicle, trimmed body, and subsystem levels. Execute modal analysis, dynamic stiffness, Noise Transfer Function (NTF), and Vibration Transfer Function (VTF) simulations. Evaluate results against targets, conduct root cause analysis, and propose countermeasures for performance gaps. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design improvements and correlate models using test data to ensure accuracy. Provide comprehensive simulation reports, root cause analyses, and validated CAE methodologies to support VTS targets and validation planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field with specialization in acoustics or vibrations
- 8+ years of experience in NVH CAE, with hands-on exposure to trimmed body or full vehicle NVH simulations
- Strong knowledge of structural dynamics, vibro-acoustics, and noise transfer mechanisms across frequency ranges
- Proficiency in CAE tools such as Nastran/OptiStruct/Abaqus/Ansys and Simcenter/Actran/Virtual.Lab, along with pre/post tools like HyperMesh or ANSA
- Experience in model correlation with test data and ability to interpret results to drive design improvements
