Job Summary
Load various linen items according to individual client orders, ensuring proper sequencing and accurate counts before delivery. Read customer tickets to verify product and quantity, then build bulk carts by filling them with specific linen products. Weigh carts in and out, entering data into a computer program while using a handheld electronic scanner. Work independently or as part of a team in a noisy, fast-paced environment, performing duties such as climbing, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Push or pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds and use simple tools as needed. Assist with other assigned tasks while maintaining safety procedures and strong organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education
- GED
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good analytical skills
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry
- Ability to climb, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 - 50 pounds during loading and unloading of truck
- Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds and use simple tools
- Ability to count items and verify against prepared lists
- Knowledge of safety procedures
