Job Summary
NUWC Lead Engineer at CACI, responsible for developing and leading the strategy for a large intel-focused organization, aligning technical initiatives with customer objectives and market forces. Lead cross-functional collaboration with customers, partners, and suppliers; coordinate with the CACI site lead to ensure successful technical execution across the NUWC portfolio; recommend innovative approaches to meet current requirements; contribute to strategic planning and growth; participate in risk management, planning, and definition of scope; generate technical briefs, transition briefs, white papers, and proposals; support reviews and technical interchange meetings; lead the Engineering team’s day-to-day execution under the Program Manager; identify continuous improvements and drive efficient project execution; bring experience in large-scale systems and DoD engineering programs and communicate effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or 10 years DoD Engineering Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a position requiring engineering management expertise
- Active Secret clearance / ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Experience supporting NUWC Division Newport
- Track record of complex problem-solving aptitude
- Strong customer and user relations skills as well as experience at technical interchange meetings and representing the organization in technical matters
- Excellent written communication skills, with strong experience developing white papers and technical proposals
