Job Summary
Provide clinical nutrition and meal plans consistent with Walden Behavioral Care's philosophy. Conduct nutrition assessments for all patients, documenting issues using appropriate clinical terminology. Perform individual and group nutrition therapy while working with patients toward nutrition rehabilitation. Participate in treatment team planning and discharge planning. Deliver effective nutrition education to patients and families. Supervise breakfast, lunch, and snacks while providing meal coaching as needed. Communicate progress and continuing care plans to patients, families, the treatment team, and referral sources. This Per Diem role offers pay of $31.73-$47.00/hour and requires a licensed Registered Dietitian with MA licensure and AND certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition
- Experience providing direct nutritional care in an Eating Disorder Service and Mental Health setting, preferred
- Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting, required
- Licensed Dietitian with the state of MA
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
- CPR Certification
- Medical nutrition therapy

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
