Job Summary
As a WIC Program Nutritionist, provide nutrition care to pregnant/postpartum individuals, infants, and children; assess nutritional risk through dietary evaluations and anthropometric/hematological data; deliver 1:1 counseling and group education on breastfeeding, healthy eating, and chronic disease prevention; connect participants to health/social services and track follow-up care. Lead program development and outreach by co-creating culturally responsive educational materials, training WIC staff, and conducting quality assurance audits; collaborate with healthcare providers to address participant needs and uphold WIC policies and state/federal guidelines; step in to support low-risk caseloads and contribute to a mission-driven team dedicated to health equity in underserved communities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field
- 1+ year in clinical/community nutrition (WIC experience a plus)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
