Nutritionist Assistant I

Delivers nutrition and breastfeeding education to WIC-eligible participants, sets goals, and performs all aspects of participant certification except assessment and education. Ensures high-risk contacts and formula changes are reviewed by a Nutritionist while documenting interactions in the Quick WIC data system and maintaining organized charts. Promotes breastfeeding by issuing and documenting pump care, performs anthropometric measurements and hematological testing per OSHA regulations, and makes referrals to community social services. Supports clinic operations by answering phones, rescheduling appointments, attending satellite clinics, driving the satellite van, and assisting with agency projects and understaffed duties.
