Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate Nutritionist/Nutrition Educator to provide medical nutrition therapy and dietary education for IHS patients in various clinical settings, requiring a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, RD registration, and 2 years of clinical nutrition experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- State licensure (if applicable) or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of assignment.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience providing clinical nutrition services.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in IHS, tribal, or rural healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of Native American dietary patterns, cultural preferences, and community health practices.
- BLS Certification (may be required based on duty location)
