Job Summary
Prepare and serve food, manage the serving line, and oversee cleaning and equipment maintenance for the School Nutrition Department. Perform food preparation and ensure food acceptability before and after service while maintaining a positive work environment with students and staff. Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate uniform, hair net, and rubber-soled shoes, and complete required background checks and physical capacity tests. Work Monday through Friday from 6:15 am to 2:15 pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Be able to read and write English
- perform simple arithmetic
- follow oral and written direction
- Be able to do considerable standing
- have the ability to lift 50 lbs safely
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of a physical capacity profile test
Desired Qualifications
- Food service preparation experience
- Ability to relate to children
- Possess good communicative, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
