Job Summary
Prepare food, manage serving lines, and clean equipment for the School Nutrition Department. Maintain food acceptability before and after preparation, operate and clean all types of equipment, and ensure appropriate appearance with uniform clothing, hair nets, and rubber-soled shoes. Work Monday through Friday from 6:15 am to 2:15 pm. Arrive on time, work consistently until the end of the scheduled day, and communicate effectively with school personnel and students.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Be able to read and write English
- perform simple arithmetic
- follow oral and written direction
- Be able to do considerable standing
- have the ability to lift 50 lbs safely
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of a physical capacity profile test
Desired Qualifications
- Food service preparation experience
- Ability to relate to children
- Possess good communicative, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
