Job Summary
Nutrition Technician serves as liaison between patients, staff, visitors and the Nutrition Services Department, organizing patient information into food service production. Responsibilities include providing patient education on diet orders, assisting in menu selections, preparing production information for kitchen staff, utilizing the CBORD system, coordinating tray tickets and ensuring diet orders align with therapeutic needs, communicating with clinical dietitians, supervising tray line, ensuring service standards, and contributing to performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. Preference for Diet Technician, Registered (DTR) certification may expand duties under supervision of a registered dietitian. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree in a nutrition-related field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ServeSafe Certification required at hire
- IAMTAC within 30 days of hire
