Job Summary
Prepare and serve food items while assisting in the packaging of entrees, fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, and desserts under cafeteria staff guidance. Maintain cleanliness in food service areas, including counters, tables, and equipment, and aid in the receipt, storage, and rotation of food items and supplies. Safely operate standard food service equipment such as ovens, slicers, and warmers following established procedures and portion control standards. Uphold HACCP standards in all food-related activities and manage time efficiently to balance academic responsibilities with work commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must currently be a Fort Wayne Community Schools high school senior
- Ability to balance academic responsibilities with work commitments
- Ability to speak and hear
- Dexterity of hands and fingers
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend at the waist, kneel or crouch
- Specific vision acuity
- Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 25 pounds on occasion
