Job Summary
Nutrition Services Assistant at Richardson Elementary (6 hours/day, academic year) provides support in preparing and serving meals, maintains sanitation and safety standards, serves as cashier as assigned, tracks temperatures and inventory, assists Kitchen Manager with various duties including cooking and cleaning, and performs related tasks. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to obtain School Nutrition Association certification within one year, food service and cashiering abilities, basic computer skills, and the ability to work well with students, staff, and parents. Must pass background check and health requirements; able to lift up to 50 pounds. 6-hour daily schedule during the school year with online application via ISD 622 careers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attain certification with School Nutrition Association within one year of employment
- Food Service experience
- Cashiering ability
- Ability to work with computers or willingness to learn
- Good organizational and mathematical skills
