Job Summary
Prepare patient trays based on tray cards and requests, ensuring menus are completed daily or assisting patients with choices. Stock coolers and freezers, deliver meals to rooms, and collect completed trays within the allowed time. Clean, sanitize, and organize the family kitchen, patio, and assigned areas multiple times daily while practicing HACCP and infection control protocols. Wash dishes, monitor chemical supplies, sweep, mop, and manage trash removal. Check and restock nutrition rooms and administrative building kitchens daily, reporting low supplies to the supervisor. Plate salads and desserts as needed. Work a 12-hour shift. Complete four hours of annual continuing education covering clinical nutrition, food service operations, and hospice care.
Required Qualifications
- Able to work a 12-hour shift when scheduled
- If required to drive, current driver's license and automobile insurance as required by Tennessee state law
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer minimum of 2 years food service experience providing direct clinical nutrition care and food preparation
- Also prefer food service experience in a hospice, hospital, or LTC
