Job Summary
Plan, develop, direct, and control the Dining Services department to ensure high-quality patient food service in a cost-effective manner; oversee food service standards, policy and procedure, staffing, equipment, systems, and ongoing communication with the Registered Dietitian to monitor patient nutritional status and ensure regulatory compliance; manage purchasing, budgeting, staffing schedules, tray tickets, and standardized recipes; coordinate catering as needed and lead in-services for staff while maintaining safety, sanitation, and quality control; contribute to patient care planning and uphold the facility's Equal Opportunity Employer commitments.
Required Qualifications
- CDM or Certified Food Service Manager
- Minimum of one years experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; knowledge of arithmetic and units of measurement used in food preparation
- Ability to cook/prepare food preferred
