Job Summary
The Nutrition Scientist will manage and coordinate therapeutic platforms and clinical nutrition development for the product portfolio, driving innovations in nutrition. Responsibilities include developing clinical practice guidelines, executing IRB approved clinical research, and creating educational content on nutrition therapies. The role requires collaboration with regulatory and compliance teams, performing evaluations on products, and initiating research collaborations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 3-5 years of clinical nutrition experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in food science, nutrition, medicinal chemistry, food chemistry, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in nutrition and clinical nutrition
- Experience in an academic basic research laboratory
- Experience in an industrial basic or development research laboratory
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate or graduate science Degree preferred in nutrition and/or related fields
- Regulatory affairs knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of the QC process along with use and specifications of raw materials
- Knowledge and awareness of competitive categories of nutrition and consumer health
- Clinical understanding of the benefits of nutrition, diet and exercise in health outcomes
- Ability to write and prepare educationally focused content and papers
- Comfort in speaking to large groups
