Job Summary
Assist Category Managers with product quality review, research ingredients, and investigate safety to create Ingredient Guidance documents. Provide input for private label dietary supplements, manage the database for substantiated research, and conduct data entry for FDA health claims. Deliver ongoing nutrition education to Nutritional Health Coaches and crew, including monthly trainings and customer literature file updates. Partner with the Video Education Training department, review marketing collateral, and write articles for the company blog. Stay current on labeling compliance laws and participate in quality standards meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Nutrition or related field
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to occasionally push or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to constantly use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
- Must be able to constantly sit, use fine motor manipulations, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
- Must be able to frequently grip, bend, twist, and turn.
- Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, squat, kneel, and reach above chest as needed.
- Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years research, writing and presentation skills
- Previously filled the NHC position and exceeded expectations
- Has thorough knowledge of the NGVC NHC/NED Policies and Procedures a plus
- Has excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Has impeccable follow-up and follow-through skills to meet company deadlines
- Has the ability to act independently and autonomously with little supervision
- Has the ability to prioritize multiple tasks requiring deadlines
- Works well with interruptions and changing deadlines
- Must be self-motivated with a high degree of personal integrity and professionalism
- Tolerates prolonged viewing of a computer screen
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
