Job Summary
Review each child's nutritional needs assessment within 90 days of entry and recommend appropriate courses of action. Provide individual and group counseling to families based on assessments and internal referrals. Develop, review, and modify menus to reflect cultural preferences while ensuring compliance with CACFP meal requirements and standardized recipes. Support education staff in implementing classroom nutritional activities and participate in food services meetings to maximize fund usage. Solicit menu ideas from families and monitor acceptance rates to refine offerings. Notify the Food Service Manager of any safety or health concerns and perform required CACFP self-monitoring reviews. This role supports early childhood education programs across the country to create positive outcomes for children and families. A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field is required, along with CPR/First Aid certification and local travel up to 10% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
- Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid
- Physical exam and background checks
- Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
