Job Summary

Prepare and/or direct the preparation of meals for residents according to standardized recipes and established food production procedures, while ensuring sanitary conditions and hygiene standards. Responsible for portion control, organizing and planning work schedules to meet serving times, supervising the dining experience, checking daily menus, storing leftovers per handling standards, safely operating kitchen equipment, maintaining temperature logs, and completing cleaning tasks. Demonstrates knowledge of food safety and sanitation; emphasizes quality, resident satisfaction, and compliant meal service in a full-time capacity with rotating shifts including every other weekend and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Culinary degree is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
