Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and nursing staff by following Food and Nutrition Service Standards. Deliver menu and meal explanations, basic diet instructions, modifications, and advance notice of meal selections while documenting alternate food preferences. Facilitate training of new employees and assist with ongoing education for various department initiatives. Work 12-hour shifts including weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed. High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate required. Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearhouse is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts as well as weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year experience high volume, direct customer interaction.
- Prefer ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, hospital staff, fellow workers and department management team.
- Prefer ability to read and understand written instructions and use a tablet (iPad).
