Nutrition Assistant

Manage patient menu systems by obtaining selections, preparing, assembling, and delivering menus according to prescribed diets. Assist patients in completing menu choices while offering alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences. Update diet orders, validate labeling, and communicate food service needs to the department. Print and distribute reports including meal tallies and nourishment lists. Perform clerical tasks such as faxing, filing, and answering phones in the Food & Nutrition office. Maintain office supplies and attend departmental meetings. Follow HIPAA, Joint Commission, and regulatory guidelines throughout all duties.
