Job Summary
Nutrition Assistant II participates in the preparation and serving of school lunches, component menu items, and other foods; assists the nutrition manager in estimating quantities, receiving, storing, and costing food and supplies; maintains proper sanitation and inventory; may assume duties of the School Nutrition Manager in the absence of the Nutrition Manager; skilled in various food preparation techniques (range, baking, salads, service, cleanup) and able to work under supervision with others, training staff as needed; responsible for implementing the district's nutritional and educational goals and maintaining records per established standards; probationary period applicable for new classifications with performance expectations and potential for reassignment within the nutrition services program; salary range is $18.82-$30.68 per hour, evaluated per district policies.
