Nutrition Assistant

Provides clinical dietetic services by ensuring the diet ordered by physician is received by the patient. Assists in clerical duties for Nutrition Services department. Distributes and collects selected menus from patients timely and completely. Assists patient with menu selection as needed. Evaluates all food items served to patients for quality and temperature. Follows sanitation guidelines regarding food handling including hairnet and hand washing. Prepares meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook. Prepares required reports and monitors food to ensure high quality. Delivers dishes and trays to designated times and rooms. Cleans food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware. Stocks ingredients and monitors inventory. Maintains and stocks patient snack cart and distributes to patients per diet orders. Maintains high quality, safe food as specified by Nutritional Food Services and all basic food handling guidelines as specified by Local, State, and Federal agencies. Performs other duties as assigned. Vaccinations are required as a condition of employment and E-Verify participation is noted.
