Job Summary
Coordinate soil and manure sampling, delivery, and analysis while maintaining digital Manure Management Plans and DNR application files. Act as a liaison with landowners, custom applicators, and laboratories to review application events, develop rate guidelines, and distribute GIS-based maps for nutrient management. Utilize the Iowa P-index and RUSLE2 calculations to manage field boundaries and ensure regulatory compliance with Iowa DNR CAFO rules. This full-time, on-site role requires flexibility during application season, occasional weekend work, and travel across various Iowa Select Farms facilities using a company vehicle. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, GIS, Biology, Agronomy, Management, Precision Agriculture or related field
- Significant experience and understanding of manure application and overall agriculture management practices
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to sit
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls, or animals
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to climb over gates up to 48 inches in height
- Ability to balance
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to push or pull
- Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to maintain focus on projects such as computer screens or detailed paperwork
- On-site position requiring all daily job duties to be performed in person at designated Iowa Select Farms locations
- Full-time position requiring at least 40 hours per week
- Flexibility in hours during application season along with animal health and staffing challenges
- Occasional weekend work
- Travel to various Iowa Select Farms facilities which may be local and out-of-area
- Must be able to run reports

- Must be able to navigate internal data management system to be able to find important company documents
