Nursing Veterinary Assistant - overnights

Job Summary
Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as necessary. Partner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns. Provide client education including home care instructions, medications, and wellness updates on hospitalized patients. Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment, and procedures while providing monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients. Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing. Prior veterinary experience is required, with previous nursing or critical care experience desired. Proficiency in calculations for drugs, constant rate infusions, and unit conversions is essential. Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary are required.

- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passing of a drug screen
- Passing of a background check
