Job Summary
Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as necessary. Partner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns. Provide client education on home care instructions, medications, and wellness updates for hospitalized patients. Assist the DVM with patient assessments, treatments, and procedures while performing in-house laboratory testing and preparing samples for outside labs. Monitor and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, ensuring constant supervision of treatment plans. Prior veterinary experience required, with proficiency in drug calculations and flexibility for additional hours.
Required Qualifications
- Prior veterinary experience
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passing of a drug screen
- Passing of a background check
