Nursing Training Coordinator

Job Summary

Apply clinical knowledge to develop and execute healthcare and emergency medical training programs, ensuring compliance with USAFSAM and DoW regulations. Analyze program performance data to generate reports on student success and training effectiveness, presenting actionable insights to senior leaders for decision-making. Coordinate curriculum development needs, determine resource requirements, and manage continuing nursing and medical education credit conferment. Engage with leadership and cadre members to optimize training experiences and consult on professional standards and educational goals. Collect and compile training site data to identify shortfalls and update reporting tools for accurate program analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • US citizen
  • Ability to Obtain NACI
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • At least 3 years of experience in the nursing field or in a related area
  • Current, unrestricted licensed Registered Nurse
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Current Advanced Life support certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with word processing software
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with SharePoint applications
  • Knowledge of emergency room patient management
  • Knowledge of trauma health principles
  • Proven experience in an educational setting
  • Ability to design and deliver training programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Air Force and professional standards
  • Successful completion of USAFSAM's and Department's orientation programs

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in education specialty
  • Paramedic with national registry (as a substitute for RN certification)
  • Prior instructional experience
  • Knowledge of Tactical Combat Casualty Care
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS)
  • Experience with Blackboard
  • Experience with Genius
  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense's training and educational policies and standards
