Job Summary
Nursing Tech provides clinical support under the direction of a licensed nurse, performing patient care procedures including phlebotomy, wound care, gastric and urethral tube insertion, and bedside testing. Operates patient monitoring systems and supports the operation of nursing and clinical departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- specialized short-term training in medical/surgical patient care or provision of special care
- 1–3 years of experience preferred
- PHS Non-Licensed Assistive Personnel course or equivalent training required prior to placement in role
- Formal medical technician or military training preferred
