Job Summary
Nursing technician assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients under the supervision of an RN. Works to support planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities in the nursing unit for a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics with a surgical/medical clinical focus. Responsibilities include following the Nursing Care Plan, performing care and procedures as outlined in the Nursing Technicians Clinical Skills List, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Required to have a High School Diploma/GED, or CNA certification, or equivalent related experience; CPR/First Aid preferred or must be completed within 30 days of hire; strong organizational skills and ability to work cooperatively with others; basic computer familiarity; knowledge of medical terminology; ability to communicate in English; ability to handle the physical demands of in-patient nursing and patient transfers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED; or C.N.A. certification; or equivalent related work experience required.

- Staff under age 18 are restricted from doing mechanical lifts.
