Job Summary
Conduct routine and unannounced chart audits across residential sites to ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and agency standards. Complete assigned AMAP medication pourings and provide coaching to staff regarding medication management. Deliver training and coaching to DSPs, AMAP staff, and residential leadership while assisting with retraining plans following audits. Provide RN coverage for residences with staffing vacancies and participate in the nursing on-call rotation. This role supports quality care and regulatory compliance for individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities throughout UCP Long Island's residential programs.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Valid New York State Driver's License
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of nursing experience
- 1-2 years of OPWDD experience
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations
- Knowledge of AMAP guidelines
- Knowledge of medication administration practices
- Knowledge of PONS development
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards
