Job Summary
Manage resources to promote patient safety, staff well-being, and fiscal responsibility while ensuring appropriate staffing levels and supply availability. Facilitate timely patient throughput through interdepartmental collaboration and coordinate transfers to outside facilities, ensuring compliance with EMTALA regulations. Respond to hospital emergencies, document events including debrief summaries, and provide follow-up for hospital deaths by coordinating with county coroner and mortuary services. Answer call lights, provide clinical assistance, and meet with patients or families to ensure satisfaction and service recovery. Collaborate with quality department and leadership to monitor compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Escalate issues to department or executive leadership as appropriate while modeling organizational values. Night shift, PRN or as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Five years acute care clinical experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of leadership experience
- Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in nursing
