Job Summary
Facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, patient flow, staffing, resource utilization, and problem solving on a given shift. Provide direct patient care as needed while maintaining established standards of practice under the direction of the Sr. Director. Collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure compliance with SMH policies, nursing standards, CDC, and OSHA guidelines. This per diem role covers off shifts, weekends, and holidays for an experienced Registered Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN licensure
- Current BLS/ACLS certification
- Unit-specific competencies/certifications (i.e. NRP, PALS, specialty certifications)
- Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas
- Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Clinical Nursing experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Nursing Leadership experience preferred
- Excellent quality of Nursing Care as part of a comprehensive care team
- BSN preferred
