Job Summary
Nursing Supervisor in the Operating Room provides leadership to OR staff to meet short- and long-term goals, ensures orientation and credentialing, collaborates across departments, and drives quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities include developing standards of performance, coordinating nursing care with other disciplines, monitoring care delivery and outcomes, promoting patient rights and privacy, managing staffing and equipment, and contributing to departmental operations and budget. Requires BSN (within two years of hire), RN license in the state, BCLS, and three years OR experience; CNOR preferred or required within one year; leadership experience in OR is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required within two years of hire
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in applicable state required
- CNOR preferred or required within one year of hire
- BCLS required
- Three years of clinical experience in the Operating Room
- One year of progressive management/leadership experience in the Operating Room preferred
