Job Summary
Nursing Supervisor at Kirkwood Recovery Center coordinates nursing care, oversees nursing staff, and ensures regulatory compliance (DEA/SAMHSA) while supporting admissions/discharges, detox monitoring (COWS/CIWA), and program quality. Responsible for staff training, chart and medication audits, policy reviews, and leadership participation to maintain standards across Delaware programs and interfacing with interdisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Delaware Registered Nurse, NP OR multi-state compact license
- 2-5 years of nursing experience in behavioral health, detox, and/or addiction treatment
- Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, crisis intervention and patient care coordination
- Ability to supervise staff, manage schedules, completes documentation and ensure compliance with state and deferral regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience with EMR/HER systems and nursing documentation
- Ability to respond to emergencies and oversee clinical operations during shifts
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level
- Experience in working with an electronic health record is preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and can multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate fashion in a fast-paced environment
