Job Summary
Nursing Supervisor oversees the coordination, quality, and delivery of patient care services in a home health or healthcare setting. It provides clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, ensures compliance with care standards, reviews patient cases and care plans, supports staff development, and assists with quality assurance, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance while promoting collaboration and excellent patient care. Responsibilities include receiving case referrals, assigning clinicians to cases, evaluating care through conferences and record reviews, participating in rotating on-call coverage, reviewing diagnoses and procedures, assisting in establishing treatment goals and plans of care, conducting case conferences, performing quarterly record reviews, aiding in staff recruitment/orientation, contributing to training programs and policy review, and promoting a customer service-oriented approach. The role requires a registered nurse with active licensure, BSN preferred, and prior supervisory experience in home health settings, along with strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State
- Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing
- BSN degree is preferred
- Two years management or supervisory experience within the past five years in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility
- Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making and Quality Management review and evaluation
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
- Complies and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills
