Nursing Registered Veterinary Technician

Job Summary
Conduct daily nursing rounds, evaluate incoming patients, and prioritize care based on assessment in the Emergency and Specialty department. Partner with the DVM to assist with patient assessments, treatments, and procedures, including inducing and monitoring general anesthesia and sedation. Provide continuous monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients while performing in-house laboratory testing and preparing samples for outside labs. Deliver client education on home care, medications, and wellness updates for patients. Requires a state-registered veterinary technician license with prior veterinary experience, proficiency in drug calculations, and flexibility for Monday through Tuesday shifts plus alternating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Credentialed Veterinary Technician
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license
- Prior veterinary experience
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passing of a drug screen
- Background check
