Job Summary
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and administer prescribed medications and treatments. Prepare equipment for physician procedures and assess patients transitioning from intensive care, documenting history and physical assessments while initiating individualized education plans. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs while adhering to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience, PCCN certification, and a valid RN license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)

- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull

- Must be able to detect abnormalities in cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data
- Must be able to respond appropriately to detected abnormalities
- Must be able to administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
- Must be able to prepare equipment and aid physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
- Must be able to maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
- Must be able to observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of patient's cardiac status and response to interventions
- Must be able to respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies
- Must be able to initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
- Must be able to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
- Must be able to adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Must be available for a 26-week travel assignment in Camden, New Jersey
